New Vitals Machine for Outpatient Clinic

The generosity and support from our community allows us to be able to support our departments within the hospital by providing them with the most up to date equipment in order to perform exceptional patient care. Recently, the Foundation and the Holton Community Hospital Auxiliary were able to join forces to purchase a new vitals machine for our Outpatient Clinic at Holton Community Hospital.

We Are Stronger Together

On behalf of the Holton Community Hospital/Senior Life Solutions and Willcott Brewing Company, we are excited to announce that we are combining forces! Together, we have put together a series of events over the months of September and October 2023 to honor the ones who have lost their lives to cancer and/or suicide and for the ones still fighting. Last year our sole focus was breast cancer awareness, but we have found that there are a lot more people to help and support. We felt changing our focus would bring greater awareness and support to everyone. We are putting emphasis on, “WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER” by standing together in our community so that we can offer support to those affected, raise awareness for these causes, and offer information in regard to awareness and prevention.

  • The kickoff event was a 5K color fun run Saturday September 16th, 2023. This run was an opportunity for our community to gather together to raise awareness, celebrate life, and honor those who have passed.

  • Our booth at Fall Fest will have facts regarding different forms of cancer, face painting and more on October 14, 2023 downtown Holton, KS.

  • The final event will be a “Brews for Boobs” fundraiser hosted at Willcott Brewing Company on October 21st, 2023.

Where do all the donations go?

  • Ultrasound machine- Mindray Resona i9: Technology at the service of medicine advances day by day, and ultrasound equipment could not be the exception. It is imperative to be at the forefront with respect to this issue, since this will allow for more accurate diagnosis and therefore, a better quality of care for our patients. We use ultrasound to detect lesions in any tissue of the body. Currently, we use ultrasound for every breast lesion or area of concern the radiologist has. If there is a question of malignancy, we perform biopsies with the use of ultrasound and it is so important for our community that we have the highest quality of imaging here in order to help the radiologists make an accurate diagnosis, so our patients do not have to commute anywhere else for quality imaging.

  • Into our community to individuals currently fighting cancer of any form

  • For no-cost mammograms

  • A painted mural raising awareness for these causes- location to be determined
